First Global Challenge
— Autonomous Robotics
Served as Technical Leader and Programmer for Team Burkina Faso at the First Global Challenge — an annual international robotics competition modeled after the Olympics, pitting student teams from 180+ nations against each other. In 2023 (Singapore, "Hydrogen Horizons" theme) and 2024 (Athens, "Feeding the Future" theme), I engineered autonomous control systems, designed the robot's mechanical architecture, and led on-field strategy. The team laid the groundwork for Burkina Faso's gold medal at the 2025 Panama edition.
Aura — Visual Design
& Brand Identity
Aura is my personal design practice — a creative lab for visual identity systems, typography, and graphic art. Projects span full brand identity (logo, color systems, type hierarchy), UI/UX design, illustration, and art direction for both personal ventures and collaborations. The work bridges rigorous engineering thinking with a distinct aesthetic sensibility.
YYAS Alumni Ambassador
Elected as a Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) Alumni Ambassador — a program hosted by Yale University that connects Africa's brightest secondary students with global academic networks. As ambassador, I lead outreach sessions, mentor prospective applicants, and represent Burkina Faso and the Sahel region, advocating for STEM access across sub-Saharan Africa.
FGC — Robotics Olympics
Singapore & Athens
Two consecutive international campaigns with Team Burkina Faso. 2023 in Singapore tackled hydrogen energy challenges; 2024 in Athens addressed food sustainability. Built and refined autonomous robots under strict technical constraints, competed against 180 national delegations, and helped establish Burkina Faso as a serious contender on the world robotics stage — culminating in a gold medal at the 2025 Panama Games.
CERN — Particle Physics
Research Visit
Selected for a research visit to CERN in Geneva, Switzerland — the European Organization for Nuclear Research and home to the Large Hadron Collider, the world's most powerful particle accelerator. The visit covered particle detector engineering, accelerator physics, and precision measurement systems, and connected me with physicists redefining the edges of known science.
